Description

This 3-day course is designed for (nearly) graduated acupuncturists who are interested in classical acupuncture and are seeking the background of Constitutional Acupuncture (also known as Celestial Stems and Earthly Branches Acupuncture).

During these three days, we will explore the Chinese philosophy that forms the foundation of Constitutional Acupuncture. Various aspects of this method will be covered. For example, we will discuss the Great Movements to gain insight into the background of the 5 elements. Concepts such as Seasonal Energy and Deep Energy, as well as the 6 divisions, will also be addressed. This will help you to better understand the philosophical basis of Constitutional Acupuncture.

Practical aspects will also be addressed, such as creating a birth chart and making a start with pulse diagnosis according to Constitutional Acupuncture. This will give you insight into the imbalances that can arise between the various energies and, for example, the short-term solutions people tend to develop (which we often encounter in clinic ). We will then discuss the long-term solutions that can be offered and the possible treatment principles.

The third day will take place a few weeks later, so we can discuss what everyone has encountered in their practice.

The course is primarily intended to provide a general impression of working with this ancient acupuncture method.

In addition to these training days, there is an opportunity to (individually) join me in clinic for a day or part of a day.

To ensure sufficient personal attention during the practical sessions, the group size will be small.
